Telangana police refuse to allow Ijtama to Pak-based organ Dawat-e-Islami

Hyderabad : Telangana Police refused to allow a alleged Pakistani organization, Dawat-e-Islami, to organize a two-day religious meeting in Ijtama in the state. Police have rejected the application of the organization on the basis of disrupting the law system.

According to Telangana Deputy Commissioner of Police Ambar Kishore Jha, the organization has been informed about this. Jha, while stopping the organization from being Pakistani, said, “This organization is registered in India, but the investigation has revealed that it is a branch of an international organization.

Jha said, I am not worried about whether this organization is from Pakistan or not. But my concern is that the current situation does not allow any such statement, which will spoil the peaceful atmosphere. Jha said, therefore, we have refused to allow permission on the basis of law and order.

Telangana BJP MLA Raja Singh took credit for avoiding the program. He said that he raised his voice in protest against this proposed event to the City Police Commissioner. After this the action has been taken. Singh claimed that Dawat-e-Islami is a Pakistani organization and its programs have been banned in Pakistan too.
